An alien occupation in Ireland. The action never stops in this well drawn tale. Characters that you believe in and care about, and a nightmarish world that you can comfortably settle into.

An astonishing book
One of the best books I've ever read. Dunn's playful use of language in itself is endlessly entertaining. Everything about this book is engaging, the structure, the characters and not least, the story itself - deeply twisted and disturbing, and yet so fresh and full of life.
One of those books you have to read before you die.
